We understand that figuring out how to begin your travel career in healthcare can be
overwhelming. That’s why we’ve outlined the key eligibility requirements based on Joint Commission standards and the expectations of our partner hospitals and
healthcare facilities across the U.S.

Basic Eligibility Requirements

No matter your discipline, Go Healthcare requires the following to begin your travel
healthcare career:

For Registered Nurses (RNs):

  1. Active and unencumbered U.S. RN license
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse
  3. At least 1 year of recent experience in your specialty area (e.g., ICU, ER, Med-Surg)
  4. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  5. Additional certifications based on specialty, such as ACLS, PALS, TNCC, or
    NRP
  6. Two professional references from nursing supervisors within the last 2 years
  7. Updated nursing resume or completion of an online application
  8. Specialty skills checklist and core competency testing (as required)

For Therapists (PT, OT, SLP):

  1. Active U.S. license in your discipline and state of practice
  2. Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in your specialty
  3. Current CPR/BLS certification
  4. Professional references from clinical supervisors or rehab directors
  5. Resume or clinical profile outlining your experience
  6. Specialty assessments as required by client facilities

For Allied Health Professionals (Radiologic Technologists, Respiratory Therapists, Lab Techs, etc.):

  1. Active certification and/or state license
    o Examples: ARRT for radiology, NBRC for respiratory, ASCP for lab techs
  2. 1-2 years of relevant experience
  3. Current BLS/CPR certification
  4. Work references relevant to your field
  5. Specialized credentials, if applicable (e.g., ACLS, advanced imaging
    modalities)
