Understanding the Clinical Liaison role

Understanding the Clinical Liaison role is an important part of your travel nursing experience.  The Clinical Liaison is employed by your Travel Nursing Agency, not the hospital. In most cases, the person in this role is an RN, with experience working in an acute care setting. They might also hold an advanced Nursing Degree and/or a Legal Consulting Degree. The Clinical Liaison will assist in areas of clinical concern or incidents.

Your Recruiter will be assisting with areas such as; attendance, tardies, and attitude conflicts. It is very important that you complete an Incident Report and contact your Recruiter as soon as possible should a situation appear. In most clinical cases it is standard procedure to discuss the situation in detail with the Clinical Liaison. The person in this role is there to help you through the situation and investigate. They may work with the hospital as well to obtain information. They may also assign additional CEUs depending on the outcome of the investigation.

Go Healthcare Staffing has a Clinical Liaison on our team to help support you in your travel nursing experience.  Go Healthcare Staffing is committed to working with all our travel nurses to ensure they receive the proper support, professionally and personally, to ensure they have the best travel nursing experience possible with us.  We strive to make each travel nursing assignment a memorable one for all our travel nurses and Go is there every step of the way!
